Сервис стриминга игр PlayStation Now вошел в стадию открытого бета-тестирования в Северной Америке и на данный момент он позволяет стримить игры для игровой приставки Playstation 3, но согласно последней поступившей информации, компания Sony не собирается на этом останавливаться и в будущем хочет расширить функциональность сервиса PlayStation Now поддержкой игр для всех платформ Playstation, в том числе и играми для Playstation 4.
В недавнем интервью Kotaku старший директор сервиса PlayStation Now Джек Бузер (Jack Buser) заявил о том, что на данный момент они сфокусированы на поддержку сервисом только игр для PS3, но позже неназванный представитель компании Sony заявил следующее: «В настоящее время мы также рассматривает мероприятия, которые бы позволят в будущем предложить [пользователям сервиса] игры от оригинальной PlayStation, PS2 и PS4, но на данный момент могут быть предложены только игры для PS3″.
